## About Snowflake with LuumenAI

Connect Snowflake and your agent can see what the warehouse is doing: current status page state, unresolved incidents, scheduled maintenance, the databases, schemas, and tables you have access to, and the status of a submitted statement. Changes, including canceling a running statement or executing SQL, are previewed and held for your approval by default. Luumen connects over OAuth2.

## Example tools

Read-only (13 in total):

- `SNOWFLAKE_CHECK_STATEMENT_STATUS` — Retrieves the status and results of a previously submitted SQL statement using its statement handle.
- `SNOWFLAKE_FETCH_CATALOG_INTEGRATION` — Retrieves detailed configuration and metadata for a specific catalog integration.
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_ACTIVE_SCHEDULED_MAINTENANCES` — Retrieves a list of any active scheduled maintenances currently in the In Progress or Verifying state.
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_ALL_SCHEDULED_MAINTENANCES` — Retrieves a list of the 50 most recent scheduled maintenances, including those in the Completed state.
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_COMPONENT_STATUS` — Retrieves the status of individual components, each listed with its current status.
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_STATUS_ROLLUP` — Retrieves the status rollup for the entire page, including indicators and human-readable descriptions of the blended component status.
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_STATUS_SUMMARY` — Retrieves the current status summary from Snowflake's public status page (status.snowflake.com).
- `SNOWFLAKE_GET_UNRESOLVED_INCIDENTS` — Retrieves a list of any unresolved incidents from the Snowflake status page.

Write and destructive (3 in total, approval required by default):

- `SNOWFLAKE_CANCEL_STATEMENT_EXECUTION` — Cancels the execution of a running SQL statement.
- `SNOWFLAKE_DROP_WAREHOUSE` — Drops (permanently deletes) a warehouse in Snowflake.
- `SNOWFLAKE_EXECUTE_SQL` — Execute SQL statements in Snowflake and retrieve results.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does LuumenAI connect to Snowflake?

Authorize once with OAuth 2.0. Luumen lists the scopes each action needs before you approve the connection, and credentials never appear in the chat.

### Can LuumenAI change things in Snowflake on its own?

Read actions answer immediately. Anything that writes is shown as a plan and requires approval by default, including the 3 actions classified as destructive. Administrators configure that per tool.

### Is there an audit trail?

Every call to Snowflake — read or write, approved or declined — is recorded with the actor, the input, and the result.
