## About Honcho with LuumenAI

Honcho holds the memory behind your stateful agents: workspaces, peers, sessions, messages, and the conclusions drawn from them. Connect it and Luumen can read that history directly — list sessions, search messages, pull a peer's representation — then record new conclusions or messages as previewed steps you approve first. Authentication is by API key.

## Example tools

Read-only (10 in total):

- `HONCHO_CHAT_WITH_PEER` — Run usage-bearing agentic search and reasoning over a peer's learned representation to answer a question.
- `HONCHO_GET_MESSAGE` — Return one message by its exact ID within a session.
- `HONCHO_GET_PEER_REPRESENTATION` — Return a curated subset of conclusions representing a peer.
- `HONCHO_LIST_CONCLUSIONS` — Return one page of stored conclusions in a workspace; use Search Conclusions for semantic retrieval.
- `HONCHO_LIST_MESSAGES` — Return one page of messages in a session; use Get Message for exact-ID retrieval.
- `HONCHO_LIST_PEERS` — Return one page of peers in a workspace.
- `HONCHO_LIST_SESSIONS` — Return one page of sessions in a workspace.
- `HONCHO_LIST_WORKSPACES` — Return one page of Honcho workspaces visible to the connected admin key.

Write and destructive (6 in total, approval required by default):

- `HONCHO_CREATE_CONCLUSIONS` — Store a batch of 1-100 explicit conclusions about peers, optionally tied to sessions.
- `HONCHO_CREATE_MESSAGES` — Add a batch of 1-100 attributed messages to a Honcho session.
- `HONCHO_DELETE_SESSION` — Permanently delete one known session and its session-scoped data.
- `HONCHO_GET_OR_CREATE_PEER` — Return a peer by ID within a workspace, creating it with the supplied metadata and configuration when absent.
- `HONCHO_GET_OR_CREATE_SESSION` — Return a session by ID, or create it with initial peers, metadata, and configuration when absent.
- `HONCHO_GET_OR_CREATE_WORKSPACE` — Return a workspace by ID, or create it with metadata and configuration when absent.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does LuumenAI connect to Honcho?

Authorize once with API token. Luumen lists the scopes each action needs before you approve the connection, and credentials never appear in the chat.

### Can LuumenAI change things in Honcho on its own?

Read actions answer immediately. Anything that writes is shown as a plan and requires approval by default, including the 1 action classified as destructive. Administrators configure that per tool.

### Is there an audit trail?

Every call to Honcho — read or write, approved or declined — is recorded with the actor, the input, and the result.
