## About Discord with LuumenAI

Connect Discord and Luumen can read the things that decide who can run what: application command permissions per guild, the batch view across every command, your bot's own guild member record, and the OAuth2 authorization behind it. When a permission needs to change, Luumen shows the edit first and applies it after you approve.

## Example tools

Read-only (20 in total):

- `DISCORD_GET_APPLICATION_COMMAND_PERMISSIONS` — Retrieves the permissions for a specific application command in a guild.
- `DISCORD_GET_BATCH_APPLICATION_COMMAND_PERMISSIONS` — Retrieves permissions for all commands of an application in a guild.
- `DISCORD_GET_CURRENT_USER_APPLICATION_ENTITLEMENTS` — Retrieves entitlements for the current user and application.
- `DISCORD_GET_GATEWAY` — Retrieve a valid WebSocket (wss) URL for establishing a Gateway connection to Discord.
- `DISCORD_GET_GUILD_TEMPLATE` — Retrieve information about a Discord guild template using its unique template code.
- `DISCORD_GET_GUILD_WIDGET` — Retrieve the guild widget in JSON format.
- `DISCORD_GET_GUILD_WIDGET_PNG` — Retrieve a PNG image widget for a Discord guild.
- `DISCORD_GET_MY_GUILD_MEMBER` — Retrieves the guild member object for the currently authenticated user within a specified guild, including roles, nickname, join date, and permissions.

Write and destructive (3 in total, approval required by default):

- `DISCORD_DELETE_USER_APPLICATION_ROLE_CONNECTION` — Deletes the current user's application role connection for the specified application.
- `DISCORD_EDIT_APPLICATION_COMMAND_PERMISSIONS` — Edits the permissions for a specific application command in a guild.
- `DISCORD_UPDATE_USER_APPLICATION_ROLE_CONNECTION` — Updates the application role connection for the currently authenticated user for a specified application.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does LuumenAI connect to Discord?

Authorize once with OAuth 2.0. Luumen lists the scopes each action needs before you approve the connection, and credentials never appear in the chat.

### Can LuumenAI change things in Discord on its own?

Read actions answer immediately. Anything that writes is shown as a plan and requires approval by default, including the 1 action classified as destructive. Administrators configure that per tool.

### Is there an audit trail?

Every call to Discord — read or write, approved or declined — is recorded with the actor, the input, and the result.
