## About Code Interpreter with LuumenAI

Code Interpreter gives Luumen a disposable Python sandbox. Point it at an export — latency samples, a job log, a config dump — and it writes the script, runs it, and hands back stdout, errors, and any files produced. Reading files from the sandbox is immediate. Creating a sandbox, running code, and running terminal commands are held for your approval by default.

## Example tools

Read-only (1 in total):

- `CODEINTERPRETER_GET_FILE_CMD` — Get a file from the sandbox and returns the file.

Write and destructive (4 in total, approval required by default):

- `CODEINTERPRETER_CREATE_SANDBOX` — Create a sandbox to execute python code in a Jupyter notebook cell.
- `CODEINTERPRETER_EXECUTE_CODE` — Execute python code in a sandbox and return any result, stdout, stderr, and error.
- `CODEINTERPRETER_RUN_TERMINAL_CMD` — Run a command in the terminal and returns the stdout, stderr, and error code.
- `CODEINTERPRETER_UPLOAD_FILE_CMD` — Upload a file to the sandbox environment.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does LuumenAI connect to Code Interpreter?

Code Interpreter needs no credential of its own, so there is nothing to authorize. Access is still granted per agent, skill, and team inside Luumen, and every call is logged.

### Can LuumenAI change things in Code Interpreter on its own?

Read actions answer immediately. Anything that writes is shown as a plan and requires approval by default. Administrators configure that per tool.

### Is there an audit trail?

Every call to Code Interpreter — read or write, approved or declined — is recorded with the actor, the input, and the result.
